Entre março e maio de 1925 Albert Einstein viajou pela Argentina, Uruguai e Brasil tendo visitado o Jardim Botânico do Rio de Janeiro a 21 de março de 1925.

Para além dos eventos públicos, Einstein era muito discreto. Apesar do fascínio que sentiu durante a visita à América do Sul, alguns registos do seu diário evidenciam uma crescente impaciência, muito por culpa do permanente calor tropical e crescente solidão longe da Alemanha.

Recentemente foi encontrada uma caixa onde Einsten teria guardado alguns objectos durante a sua viagem.

On the 21st of March 1925 Albert Einstein visited the Rio de Janeiro Botanical’s Garden. This visit was the first of a tour through South America between March and May of same year that included Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

Apart the public events, Einstein was very discreet. Despite the fascination by South America, he suffers from an increasing impatience due the tropical heat and some loneliness far from Germany.

Recently a box, where Einstein kept some objects during the trip, was found.
